It’s been a busy month!

Firstly, if you haven’t already seen the news………..

Kingfisher Inclusive Cafe is OPEN!

Kingfisher Inclusive Cafe is our new, second location, at the Hewett Centre – just on the northern edge of Gawler.

Kingfisher, is currently open Mondays and Fridays and will be our new training cafe. This will provide a fantastic environment with a quieter pace to upskill and build confidence in our cafe trainees before they head over to the busier Blending Our Futures Cafe at Evanston Park.

The opening of Kingfisher, excitingly allows us to open new referrals for our traineeships. To make a referral, please click HERE.

Over the coming days, we will be in touch with all those who have completed referral forms and discuss the next steps. Please reach out if you haven’t heard from us by the end of next week.

Networking

Blending Our Futures have had a busy few weeks of networking and it’s been so lovely to connect with lots of new people!

We attended both the Northern Adelaide Disability Expo in Gawler and the Adelaide Disability and Workability Expo at the Adelaide Showgrounds along with hosting our own drop in information session.

All of these events highlighted the significant need in the community for employment skills training and for AWARD WAGE PAID employment opportunities for people with disabilities. This is something that we are very passionate about and will be continuing to promote and advocate for.
