Our Ascend Programs are going live 🎉

We received news today that our council development application for our newest project has been approved.

We’ve been waiting, not so patiently, for a while now, to be able to introduce you all properly to ‘Ascend‘.

Still located in Gawler and with excellent proximity to public transport and the local amenities, our Ascend Programs will expand on our commitment to building skills that lead into employment for people with disabilities.

We know that hospitality isn’t for everyone, so we are bringing a suite of new developmental programs to the community.

What’s on offer?

Think……

Individual and small group mentoring that will tap into pre-existing skillsets and areas of enjoyment to create individualised employment pathways for people

Micro-enterprises in a variety of areas that support growth, understanding of what it means to have a job and build skills needed for future employment and entrepreneurial opportunities

Social skill programs that encourage connection and build community, create keen learners and boost confidence (all important skills in a work environment)

For the younger ones in our community – dedicated developmental skill playgroups for children with disabilities or global developmental delay

Maybe you’d like a space where you, as a parent or Carer, can find peer connection and talk to people who “get it”. Where you can seek support and advocacy to guide you in your caring role

Individual support and groups for teenagers and young adults to develop life skills and learn how to safely make decisions about their life and relationships

Plus, our own space for the long awaited re-commencement of our popular barista basics training, cooking programs and more….

We’re currently finalising our initial program timetable and can’t wait for you to be part of this exciting and very much needed expansion of Blending Our Futures!
