Blending Our Futures

Hello!

With Term 4 just around the corner, we wanted to share an update on what’s happening at Ascend by Blending Our Futures!

We’ve been busy developing and expanding our programs to create more opportunities for people with disability to build confidence, develop skills, connect with others and work towards their individual goals.

Here’s what’s happening in Term 4:

Employment and Skill Development

• Ascend Barista Basics – Coffee-making and hospitality training, available weekdays by appointment.
• Ascend Garden Crew – Supported workplace training through lawn mowing and garden maintenance.
• Ascend LaunchLab – Exploring creative interests and developing skills to establish a microenterprise.

Social Connections and Independence

• Ascend Adult & Teen Connections – Supported social groups focused on friendships, community participation and social confidence.
• Ascend Thrive – Individual mentoring tailored to personal goals and skill development.
• Ascend Together – Group mentoring to develop life skills, independence and confidence.
• Ascend Cook & Create – Practical cooking experiences supporting everyday living skills.

Children and Families

• Ascend Play’n’Grow – A low-cost playgroup supporting early childhood development, parent connections and access to information, including NDIS navigation.

New and Upcoming Programs

We’re also excited to be introducing our 8-week Shark Cage Safe Relationships Program, designed to help people aged 16+ recognise unsafe relationships, understand boundaries, build confidence and develop personal safety skills.

Individualised Supports

Alongside our group programs, we continue to offer individual mentoring, employment skill development and in-home and community disability supports.

NDIS Funding

Depending on individual goals, funding and plan arrangements, NDIS funding may be available for eligible supports. Private payment options are also available for selected programs.

Most of our programs operate from 24 Cowan Street, Gawler, with some employment programs delivered at other local sites.

If you’re interested in joining a program, would like to discuss which option might suit someone you’re supporting, or simply want more information, please get in touch.
